The gang drill is a multiple-spindle drilling machine. The spindles are lined up in a row and may be driven individually or in the gang. The gang drill is often used for a series of drilling operations such as drilling, reaming, boring and tapping. The workpiece can be easily slid along the worktable from spindle to spindle for successive processes.
